So as some of you (that tune into the weekly live stream) know, I have been talking about building a new car trailer. In that pursuit, I have been doing a TON of research on trailer design as a whole. Well today, I found a great source of engineering information. Talk about falling down the rabbit hole. LOL! So I also found on this site that they offer plans for trailers as well as other shop equipment. I have plans to build a bridge crane in the garage eventually, but in the mean time, I have also been considering a gantry crane. They have plansRead More →

This project came to life because of a basic need to have an easy (non-fumbling) way to change camera scenes in OBS (Open Broadcaster Software.) I did not want to have to look down to my keyboard and fumble around. I wanted a utility type keyboard that would allow quick and easy changes. Part 1 of this project is the initial brainstorming on what we wanted it to do: Once we knew where it was going (at least at first) we decided it was time to order some parts. Sometimes you can look at things on the internet a million times, but until it isRead More →

This video will walk you through the process of installing it and getting the basic setup done. You are going to need a couple of programs to start: Octopi: Win32 Disk Imager: Putty: One of the following 2. (AngryIP for the computer, or Fing for a mobile device.) Angry IP Scanner:Read More →

We wanted to give an update on the progress of our Anet A8. This video shows a few things we have printed and we talk about a few tweaks we have done to make the printer better. We promised in the beginning that we would not do any major upgrades until at least the 100 hour mark. We exceeded that to 125 hours. Now we will begin some serious upgrades.
